Accessibility statement

The short answer

This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Every colour pair used in the design has been contrast-checked and the results are kept in the repository rather than asserted. If something here is hard for you to use, email ready@thehealthydigital.com and it will be fixed.

What has been done

• Semantic HTML with a single H1 per page and a heading order that makes an outline.
• Every text and background pair contrast-checked against WCAG AA. The brand orange is deliberately never used as text or as a button on a light background, because it measures 1.91 to 1 on the cream surface, which is unreadable for many people.
• Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus ring on every interactive element and a skip link to the main content.
• Motion limited to a single fade and rise on scroll, which is disabled entirely when the browser requests reduced motion.
• Content is visible without JavaScript. Nothing on this site depends on script to appear.
• Tap targets of at least 44 pixels, and a layout tested at 1440, 1068, 834 and 390 pixels wide.
• Fonts served from this domain so text renders without waiting on a third party.

What is not perfect

This statement is based on the studio’s own testing, not on an independent audit. Automated checks and manual keyboard testing catch a great deal, and they do not catch everything, particularly for screen reader users on less common combinations of browser and assistive technology. If you hit something, reporting it is genuinely useful.
